| History | Intan has a strong passion for chocolate. She acquired the recipes and technique to bake good chocolate chip cookies from a friend during her stay in the USA (1994-1995). Initially, she baked cookies for her family consumption as well as gifts to relatives and friends. In August 2000, Intan quit her job as senior HR Executive at Matsushita (MECOM) in Petaling Jaya and moved to Kuantan where she spent three months to improve her recipes and managed to develop five different types of chocolate chip cookies. Intan continues to search for methods to produce healthier chocolate chip cookies to cater for health conscious consumers and consumers with diabetes and high cholesterol problem. After one year operating as homebased business, Intan rented a shop lot in Kuantan town in 2002 and started Intan's Oven Bakery & Cafe to cater for the growing demand for Intan's Oven chocolate chip cookies. She also expands the product lines by including other bakery products such as cakes, muffins and assorted buns. Walk-in customers can also enjoy local and western meals at the cafe. To help promote other local SMEs and add more varieties to the outlet products, Intan invites other entrepreneurs to send their products to her outlet. However, only quality products are allowed to ensure customers' satisfaction. Intan's Oven Bakery & Cafe is also K-Shoppe for FAMA to promote and sell Agromas and Olemas products. In 2005, Intan purchased her own shop lot to establish permanent production and sale outlet for Intan's Oven. Since then, there is no looking back and Intan's Oven continues to improve and expand its business. |
